I can imagine you must be getting very tired of this by now. Everyone I know who is living on the East coast is getting depressed. Thankfully, spring is creeping closer. Hope you get some relief soon.
Well there is more light in Calgary AB than Vancouver BC. While colder — the light makes things more tolerable. And Vancouver winter’s now are much colder than when I grew up. In Vancouver cherry blossoms started late February. Here in Calgary … birch buds opening and pollination demarcates the rapid switch from winter to summer; very truncated spring. So I am waiting on the birches and trembling aspen to give the sign.

hang in there. I know it’s discouraging, but it shouldn’t be all that much longer. It’s very wet and gray here in Portland, too.
